Our story begins in September 2024.

A man from Iceland, visiting Canada, obtained a Norco Sight VLT e-bike. He shipped it home without the battery. Why? Because powerful lithium-ion batteries, like those in e-bikes, aren’t allowed on commercial flights due to fire risk.

Assuming it would be easy to buy a replacement once back in Iceland, he didn’t think twice.

But once home, he searched high and low - yet no shop in Iceland stocked the battery he needed. He expanded his search across Europe, even reaching out to distributors. Still, no luck.

Then, a wise, sage-like figure pointed him toward a mystical land near the Outaouais Valley -  just across the Ottawa River in Canada's capital. There, a shop called Full Cycle awaited.

This is where we come in.
We took on the challenge of getting him a battery. What followed was an 8-month odyssey of shipping delays, logistical roadblocks, a whole lotta boats, and a few ruined batteries.

But at last, the mission succeeded. The battery made it home to Iceland, and  @heldurbeturpetur 's bike was whole again!
