GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

A Full Cycle Store Manager is responsible for the smooth operation of all aspects of the business. They will be responsible for ensuring that all customers are served to the highest standard and that all of their needs are met and exceeded. They will also be responsible for the organization and merchandising of products on the sales floor, ensuring to adjust depending on the time of year and inventory levels. 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assisting customers with purchasing bicycles and accessories by asking leading questions and making informed recommendations to suit their specific needs
• Providing exceptional customer service to all customers by answering inquiries and dealing with any concerns both in store and over the phone
• Attending to any customer complaints and ensuring that the issue is resolved in a timely and professional manner, and following up with staff to address any issues
• Keeping the front shop clean, organized, and well stocked
• Assisting multiple customers is a must (answering the phone while a customer is out on a test ride, assisting a new customer while a test ride bike is having pedals installed, etc)
• Maintaining a professional environment for customers at all times
• Utilizing the POS system to assist customers with in-store purchases and online order pickups
• Hiring and onboarding new front shop staff and providing ongoing training to current staff
• Providing feedback to front shop staff to improve customer service 
• Overseeing of opening and closing procedures 
• Preparing front shop staff schedules and managing time off requests as well as managing lunch breaks to maintain sufficient coverage based on the time of year and expected traffic levels
• Communicating with the buyer to discuss product selection opportunities or issues
• (Optional) Working with the rest of the online team with suggestions/input on all aspects of Full Cycle’s online and community activity.

MINOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Preparing online orders to be picked up in store
• Maintaining good relationships with suppliers and sales representatives
• Helping with customer flow at the service counter by writing work orders and processing bike pickups as required
• Assisting in other departments such as service counter, back shop, online orders as required
• Maintaining stock room organization - ensuring that product is put away where it belongs
• Participating in maintaining a safe work environment at all times

EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years retail experience (preferred)
• Previous industry experience required

• Outstanding leadership, customer service, sales, and organizational skills
• Excellent problem solving and time management skills
• Vast industry knowledge
• Strong oral and written skills in English (required) and French (preferred)
• Computer literate
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Passion for bikes is a must

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Able to lift up to 35lbs
• Able to stand for long periods of time
